About 2,000 Jews are expected to immigrate to Israel from North America during the coming summer months. Nefesh B'Nefesh held three festive preparatory events, attended by about 600 candidates for aliyah from the United States and Canada.
The peak of the annual wave of aliyah will come on the organization's traditional charter flight, in which an entire El Al plane will be filled with 235 new immigrants from the U.S., Canada and Israel. The organization operates another 9 flights of immigrant groups numbering 30-60 people and over 40 flights with single immigrants.
