24 years old and already much too small: the fire station in Heimstetten needs to be rebuilt. Commander Markus Böhmfeld presented the local council with a long list of deficiencies.

A new building is the most likely solution. The house was built in 2000 for around 2.4 million marks, and an extension with storage and locker rooms followed in 2008. There are only six parking spaces for eight emergency vehicles; no changing rooms, too few and too narrow lockers, resulting in no separation of private and operational clothing.
