50 years of the Westfalenstadion: blatant graffiti action by BVB fans, not just in Dortmund. Banners, like this one on an S-Bahn bridge on Hohe Straße in Dortmund, with the words “50 Years of WestfalENstadion” have also appeared throughout the city.
The first game took place there on April 2, 1974. The BVB stadium has a very special meaning for the people in Dortmund (NRW). Borussia Dortmund's home ground is officially called Signal Iduna Park.
