65-year-old in hospital after police shots. Woman was seriously injured by the shots.
Spokeswoman for the Aachen public prosecutor's office said this on Tuesday morning. The woman went to the hospital on Monday afternoon with a blank pistol and a dummy explosive belt and threatened employees. After an employee took the pistol from her, she barricaded herself in a patient's room and threw a pyrotechnic object into the hallway. When she tried to burn an object in the hallway around 10:38 p.m. and didn't respond to the police, officers shot the woman.
