They will culminate on June 6 in Normandy, on the D-Day beaches... on the eve, or almost, of the Europeans. “History, nothing but history,” they swore at the Élysée during the preparations, denying in advance any suspicion of political exploitation. How, however, can we not perceive echoes of the dark news, when the Head of State evokes this “French tragedy”?
