97 refugees evacuated from Libya to Italy. The new arrivals include 55 women and 27 children.

They are from Eritrea, Ethiopia, Central African Republic, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria and Palestine. Their arrival is the result of a new protocol signed in December by the internal and foreign ministries, UNHCR, the UN RefugeeAgency, ARCI and the Community of Sant'Egidio. Since 2017, UNHCR has evacuated or resettled 1,368 refugees and asylum seekers from Libya.
