A bear attacks a woman who thanks her for keeping her Pomeranian dog alive: "It kept distracting her" Ann Galante, who was alone at home with her beloved Smokie, just 8 pounds, decided to take him out to the yard of the house and saw the huge black bear jump over the fence. The bear pounced on her and knocked her face down on the cement.
“He bit me so hard on the back of my neck that I thought he was going to scalp me,” Galante said.
