Pierre-Guillaume Mercadal's 103 woolly pigs had to be slaughtered after contracting a disease. At least 75% of the amount collected through a pot will be used to create an agricultural social Samu.

The outpouring of solidarity is immense: to date, nearly 483,000 euros have been raised, while the initial objective was set at 50,000 euro. For both men, there is no doubt: the poisoning was intentional. Because Aujeszky's disease only affects two animals per year, no other cases have been recorded in the surrounding farms. And that pigs, usually, usually have a naturally contracted disease, are more than more than surprised by the disease, Mercadal explains. But no evidence can ever support his accusations: as the animals tested positive for a disease, they were not autopsied, and they did not test positive for disease, as the tests showed they had not been poisoned, he says. He is considering the creation of an associative platform to help farmers sell their products without anyone taking a profit on them.
