A Buenos Aires police officer killed a thief during an attempted robbery in Merlo. The criminal was 19 years old and his accomplice, 18, was arrested.
The scene was recorded on security cameras in the west of the suburbs. The police officer, according to sources cited by the TN channel, is a member of the Tactical Unit for Immediate Operations (UTOI) and shot three times during the incident. Since September 2023, it was part of a program that promotes the link between penitentiary and post-penitentiary activities.
