A cigarette butt and a chewed Styrofoam cup lead to the arrest of an alleged murderer in Pennsylvania. DNA recovered confirmed it, authorities said.
Vallis Slaughter, 39, was arrested last week in connection with a 2012 shooting that claimed the life of Julio Torres. Another person, Jomaine Case, had already been convicted of conspiracy in the same murder, DA said.. A facial recognition computer program revealed the identity of the suspect in a 2012 murder. The suspect is jailed in New Jersey and awaiting release to Pennsylvania.
