A dead goose was found in part of the flight control system of the medical helicopter that crashed in western Oklahoma on Jan. 20.

All three people on board – including the pilot, a nurse and a paramedic – died when the plane crashed. A probable cause report could take up to two years to complete, according to the National Safety Board. The helicopter crashed in a grassland near Hydro, about 60 miles (97 kilometers) west of Oklahoma City, while returning to Weatherford after transporting a patient.
