A French site crowned third world destination for sustainable tourism. The Hauts-de-France region was rewarded for its initiatives in favor of more sustainable tourism during the Green Destinations Story Awards.
The Bay of Somme triumphed in the “destination management” category, thanks to its destination management. The 70km2 territory, the largest estuary in northern France, has been recognized as a Grand Site de France since 2011 and is home to the Baie de Somme Picardie Maritime Regional Natural Park.
