Authorities are asking local communities to avoid waterways. The children, who were not wearing life jackets, entered the water with their mother and another adult trying to make their way to climb a rock. "Be careful with the river, this year IS different," a sheriff's lieutenant says. "The water stays cold... The current is fast and the trees become dangerous," they warn.
