I think of Joseph Conrad's words in Heart of Darkness every time I read the news. I thought of Miklós Radnóti's story when I heard about the murder of Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina. If there is enough love, our words will always return to the grave to give meaning to our existence. And therefore to all the attempts to attest to the ego of that species that creates mass graves.
