A Latino man dies after eating a fish that his friend gave him to cook with him. Magno Sergio Gomes, 46, died tragically after ingesting a toxin 1,000 times more powerful than cyanide.
The event occurred in the municipality of Aracruz, in the state of Espirito Santo, in Brazil. There are 20 species of puffer fish living in Brazil, and a dozen of them in the Holy Spirit. If ingested in large quantities, it interrupts communication between nerves and muscles and causes paralysis.
