A medieval tomb emerges from the floor of Piazza San Marco. The remains of seven people found, including an 8-year-old child.

The tomb dates back to a period between the seventh and eighth centuries. The attention of the experts is now focused above all on the intervention of the Municipality of Venice, destined soon to 'uncover' the entire square for restoration reasons, an area that had not been investigated since 1855.
