A mother and her partner from Be'er Sheva were accused today of murdering her two-year-old son and abusing his older brothers, ages 3 and 5. Indictment recounts a chronicle of abuse by the mother and partner that lasted for years.
The children were neglected, locked in their room, starved and suffered from appalling hygienic conditions. About a month ago, the accused found her son lifeless - and called the MDA only half an hour later. Her surviving sons were found in an acute condition - suffering from malnutrition, tooth decay and soft bones. The defendants were charged with crimes of reckless homicide under aggravating circumstances of special cruelty and physical and mental abuse; neglect of children; abuse of a minor or Helpless and assaulting a minor and helpless person causing serious injury.
