The Minister Delegate for Children, Youth and Families Sarah El Haïry is officially launching this “Colour Pass” in a leisure center in La Grande-Motte. This new system consists of aid of 200 to 350 euros and could concern 80% of families, the ministry said.

In mid-April, families will already be able to find on the site jeunesse.gouv.fr a catalog of labeled summer camps, eligible for “Pass colo” and the amount of aid will be immediately deducted from their bill. The system should cost 8 million euros this year, and, depending on the planned increase in power, 32 million in 2027. It will be financed by the family branch of Social Security. It also appeared in the Solidarity Pact presented in September and intended to fight against poverty. “A summer camp is the memory of a lifetime, it’s learning about yourself, learning from others, learning differently: community life complements school learning,” declared El Hairy.
