The Troyes hospital center and the Amethyst group, a private operator specializing in the treatment of cancer, joined forces. The necessary investment has been estimated at nearly 10 million euros.
The cooperation between the two structures will allow the hospital to move upmarket and offer all existing radiotherapy treatments. Reception capacities will also be increased. Ultimately, the active queue of patients will increase from 600 currently to 1,000 in a few months in order to limit the “flight” of patients out of Aube. The year 2024 will be busy like few centers in France but the potential is significant. This radiotherapy center can become one of the most beautiful in the region. The work, the cost of which has been adjusted to more than10 million euros, will begin this Monday, April 15 for a period of one year. The first of the three processing machines and the scanner should be operational in the middle of this year, the second machine will be delivered in autumn 2024 and the third in 2025 or 2026.
