Sumilab, a company blacklisted by the United States for collaborating with the Sinaloa Cartel, has sold millions of pesos in chemical substances and laboratory equipment to the base entity of the criminal organization since 2018. Between 2018 and 2022, the administration headed by Quirino Ordaz Coppel, now Mexico's ambassador to Spain, awarded the company contracts for 14.7 million pesos.
