"Once again, unsurprisingly, the Police Department chooses to defend violent police officers and closes a complaint about serious violence while covering up the investigation," noted attorney Eladi Wiesel, who represents the complainant in the appeal against the closure of the case. "This is about the unlawful use of force whose only purpose was to vent anger and humiliation and not any legal purpose," said attorney Wiesel. "We hope that the appeals department will not ignore the blatant cover-up, will accept the appeal we filed and act to bring the violent police officer to justice"
