A racehorse surprised travelers waiting for their train on the platform of Warwick Farm station, in the suburbs of Sydney (Australia) on April 5. Covered in a beige blanket, the animal had escaped from nearby stables, local transport officials said.

The horse was finally able to be loaded, but in the station parking lot in a trailer, thanks to the arrival of its owner. According to the latter, a thief freed several of the horses from her stable, including this one that she was unable to catch. “It’s not every day that you see a horse on the quay,” joked the Minister of Transport for the State of New South Wales, Jo Haylen. The wildlife episode was ‘a little bit unusual,’ said Matt Longland, chief executive of Sydney Trains, the local rail network. ‘The good news is that the horse was captured and is clearly healthy and unharmed,‘ said Longland.
