Pope Francis and President Javier Milei met at the canonization of Mama Antula. The Pope gave the Argentine a copy of his message for this year's World Day of Peace.

The meeting took an hour when the protocol for this type of meeting provides for half an hour. Pope Francis was inspired by the baldachin's collection of his writings, including a letter from the chancellor of the University of Buenos Aires to the Pope. He also gave him a bronze bust of St. John Paul II, the patron of the Order of Santiago.
