From Mont Saint-Michel to the Crozon peninsula, the “GR 37 – Heart of Brittany” travels through mountains, legendary forests, peaceful canals and reveals little heritage nuggets. The portion between the ‘Wonder of the West’ and Fougères was elected the favorite GR of the French in 2024.

Along its entire length, the GR 37 gives a beautiful overview of the diversity of Breton heritage. Along the canal from Nantes to Brest, we fall under the spell of the Cistercian abbey of Bon Repos which today serves as a setting for contemporary art exhibitions. Near Lake Guerlédan, nicknamed “Little Breton Switzerland”, the Quénécan forest is home to a rare old Breton steel village, the Forges des Salles, completely restored. Relive the Arthurian legend in the mythical forest of Brocéliande and its Val Sans Retour. Magic operates in the Huelgoat forest in the Armorique regional park, strewn with rocks with phantasmagorical shapes.
