Whistleblower says Walmart and Aldi buy contaminated shrimp from India. The complaint by Joshua Farinella, former director of a company that supplies shrimp to the main supermarket chains in the United States, puts the most consumed seafood industry in the country under scrutiny.

“Consumers should know that they have been purchasing a contaminated product made by people who cannot afford to go home,” says Farinello. Choice Canning's lawyers categorically denied any wrongdoing, including claims of abusive labor practices and illegal use of antibiotics.
