Kayla Unbehaun was abducted by her mother when she was just 9 years old. She was found more than 1,100 kilometers from where she had disappeared.
The discovery occurred in North Carolina, thanks to the complaint of a neighbor. The mother of the kidnapped girl was arrested in Asheville over the weekend and is being held on $250,000 bail after being charged with child kidnapping. "I love you with every beat of my heart. I love you so much that there are no limits to measure it. I've loved you since before you were alive, when you were just a possibility," her father said.
