ADAC warns: High security risk due to retractable door handles. Nobody wants an accident with their own car.
Nevertheless, it happens thousands of times every day in Germany alone. It is becoming increasingly common to no longer see ordinary door handles on cars. Rather, they are pulled back into the side of the car while driving or parking. The latter cause the biggest problems when, as a result of an accident, the power supply is interrupted and the handle remains retracted. Helpers would then be faced with the challenge of even getting to the inmates.
