After a near miss: Boeing has to pay the airline $160 million. Boeing is under increased pressure to improve quality controls following the incident.

The FAA has imposed a cap on Boeing of 38 new jets per month after part of the outer wall of a 737 MAX fell out in mid-air due to an assembly error in January. According to insiders, the production rate even fell to single digits at the end of March. The reason is tighter controls at the factory by the US authorities, industry insiders told the Reuters news agency.
