The woman was charged with unlawful possession of a protected animal. She could face up to a year in prison. The video has been viewed more than 2.6 million times. The lion is now in the care of the National Museum of Natural History of Thailand. The man who drove the car has not yet been charged with any crime. The incident is under investigation.
