The police consider the knife attack to be an act of amok. There is evidence of mental illness in the young person. There are 98 students in the grade that the 17-year-old also attended. The perpetrator is not yet known to the police. The teenager was scheduled to undergo a psychiatric examination at the weekend. A result will probably not be available before Tuesday.
