After the EPP vote, François-Xavier Bellamy wants to unite the anti-Van der Leyen. The appointment of the German for a new mandate at the head of the European Commission, marked by a strong abstention, reinforces the line of frank opposition.
Out of 801 declared voters, the ballot counted 499 votes for, 10 null and 89 against. In the end, almost 20% of the votes cast and more than 50 per cent of delegates did not support it.
