More than a dozen miners were buried in one of Russia's largest gold mines. The company has now ended the search for the missing people due to the risk to the life of the rescue workers.

The families of the dead miners should receive compensation amounting to an annual salary, according to the company. The accident occurred on March 18th in the Pioneer gold mine in the Far Eastern Amur region, about 5,300 kilometers east of Moscow. At times more than 200 rescue workers were on duty, including from other regions of Russia.
