There had previously been criticism of the appointments of two AfD judges. The aim of the reform is to ensure that the court “can continue to work in a legally secure manner in the future,” says CSU politician Michael Hofmann. “Extremists, enemies of our democracy and our constitution have no place there,’ he adds.
