Bus line 116 connects Joanic metro station and entrance to Park Güell. Popular with visitors, much to the dismay of local residents, this crowded line disappeared overnight from the tools used to navigate cities.

It remains to be seen whether this solution will remain effective in the long term, or whether tourists will not be fooled. The challenge is to find the balance between tourist activity and social uses, especially so that residents of the closest neighborhoods can enjoy it in complete tranquility, the municipality writes. The decision was made after numerous complaints from local residents to the municipality, the latter finally decided to react, choosing a drastic solution. It is hoped that this will allow locals to reclaim this means of transport, now abandoned by day visitors. The solution was announced by Barcelona Metropolitan Transport (TMB), which is responsible for bus lines in the city. The line is open from 6:40 a.m to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and is made up of minibuses, which can only accommodate around 20 travelers at most.
