Air Force assessment: Air base near Penzing suitable for stationing an Arrow radar device. First parts of the system are to be used by the Air Force from 2025.
Three locations are planned in the Federal Republic for the installation of the missile defense system. One of them is at the Holzdorf air base near Jessen in the Wittenberg district. The two other locations are in Bavaria and Schleswig-Holstein. The Arrow Weapon System (AWS) developed by Israel and the USA uses the Arrow-3 guided missile to intercept ballistic missiles above the earth's atmosphere.
