There have been several incidents with Russian military aircraft in the Baltic Sea region in the past. The German Air Force says it intercepted an IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft. The machine was traveling without a transponder signal, the Air Force said in online service X. It took off from the Latvian base in Lielvarde to intercept the plane.
