Aix-en-Provence: an inmate killed in his prison cell. The victim, known for drug trafficking, was allegedly beaten by his fellow inmate in Aix-Luynes prison.
The latter was taken into police custody and an investigation was opened for “assassination”. The implicated detainee should be presented before a liberty and detention judge this Monday. The prison overcrowding, combined with unsanitary problems at “Aix.Luynes 1”, leads to fueling a certain climate of insecurity in many areas of the penitentiary center.
