Alec Baldwin pleads not guilty to manslaughter in 'Rust' shooting death. The actor was charged after the film's director of photography was hit by a bullet from a revolver that Baldwin was holding during a rehearsal for the film outside Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2021.

Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if found guilty. Baldwin remains free pending trial under conditions that include not possessing firearms, consuming alcohol or leaving the country. Baldwin may have limited contact with witnesses when it comes to promoting Rust, which has not been released.
