An Alicante judge annuls the sentence imposed on an Army captain by a Franco court-martial in 1940. The magistrate applies for the first time the Democratic Memory Law at the request of a son of the retaliated soldier.

The soldier, who had obtained the rank of captain, was arrested on March 31, 1939 and later tried by the court martial for the crime of aiding the rebellion. On September 13, 1940, a court martial in Alicante sentenced him to 20 years of minor confinement.
