Argentine plant genetics company GDM has bought the corn and wheat business of a multinational. GDM, born in Chacabuco, announced that it acquired the segment of both cereals in South America from the German KWS.
Both firms agreed not to reveal the details of the transaction or the exact amount of the purchase price. In 2023 GDM had purchased Biotrigo, a Brazilian company in the seed industry. The transaction includes all of KWS's corn and sorghum breeding and sales activities in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
