Four Iraqi smugglers in an irregular situation were arrested in the Oise. They are suspected of having brought nearly 125 migrants into the country.
According to our information, the objective was to get these migrants to Great Britain. The smugglers would have collected nearly 700,000 euros. All were placed in pre-trial detention and will appear in court on March 27. In 2023, some 36,000 migrants attempted to reach England by illegally crossing the Channel from the French coast. This figure is down by more than 30% over one year.
