Talavera Puebla (or tinware) was introduced to the City of Los Angeles in the 16th century by potters from Talavero de la Reina, in Toledo. The company Uriarte was founded by Dimas Uriarte in 1824 and celebrates 200 years of existence this year.

Uriarte is the first Mexican artisanal technique inscribed on the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Talaversa is now a luxury and collectible object, and also a symbol of the city.
