Arcis-sur-Aube honored for its action in favor of Ukrainian refugees in France. Mayor Charles Hittler is one of eight people decorated by the prefect of Aube with the Internal Security medal.
Center-thirty-six exiles, women, children reached Aube in March 2022, mobilizing volunteers, state agents, or even elected officials. To date, 230 refugees, including 72 children are still in Aube hosted by Aube officials, including the mayor.
