Platforms like Etsy or Instagram promise us that any hobby can become a more or less lucrative gig. It's called the gig economy or gig economy. According to figures managed by the World Bank, there are 435 million people in the world who collect several bowls to support their income. Gig workers – that's what they call them – increased by 170% between 2019 and 2021.
