Canada has sent the military to help fight fires in Alberta. More than 410,000 people have been affected by the fires.

Some 80 fires are still active, including 23 that are out of control. A few days of cooler weather have allowed some residents to return home. The Canadian government has declared a state of emergency in the western province. The vast majority of the fires are man-made. The weather is expected to get hotter over the weekend, especially in the north of the province.
