Galleria Accademia Contemporanea is a new exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. The Gallery opens on 10/4 with an exhibition by Jannis Kounellis (ANSA) The space, following renovation works carried out in the last months of 2023, now becomes a place of contemporary research and experimentation that can be used not only by students and teachers of the Academy, but also by the public.

It will host installations, works and contributions from exponents of art of the last decades. The exhibition will present Untitled, a work from 2016 composed of five large elements, a tribute to painting and, above all, to the most beloved painters. It is capable of reactivating history and making it dialogue with contemporaneity, in a perspective of research and freedom. The gallery is open to the public and can be visited free of charge. It was designed in full neoclassical style by Pietro Camporese the Younger in the mid-19th century, consists of three naves divided by a Doric colonnade.
