Catherine Pgard, 69, will leave the management of the Palace of Versailles after nearly thirteen years at its head. She will give up her chair to Christophe Leribault, the current director of the Musée d'Orsay (Paris 7th) The former journalist has held the record for longevity in this position.

Appointed in 2011 by Nicolas Sarkozy, she was reappointed in 2016 by François Hollande, then in 2019 by Emmanuel Macron for a final three-year term.
