Legal protection, curatorship or guardianship are three reinforced legal protection measures which can be considered to protect a vulnerable person. The choice is made according to the level of impairment of one's faculties.

Desocialization, excessive spending, unpaid bills, malnutrition, loss of memory, incoherent comments... Sometimes, an elderly person's situation is such that increased protection is necessary. Not all elderly people are under guardianship. A protective measure is a serious decision which results in the incapacity of the person for whose benefit it is put in place. It is therefore only pronounced by the judge if necessary.
