HBO has already announced that it will renew the program. After several years of absence, the detective anthology returned with a successful fourth season.
True Detective was also a ratings success with an average of 12.7 million viewers worldwide. The episodes will once again be directed by Issa Lopez. But HBO does not specify who will play this time the duo of police detectives, held in season 4 by Kali Reis, an indigenous actress and former American boxing champion, and Jodie Foster. The actress even assured that with this series she was able to further broaden her range of acting.
