Remains found in Texas County, Oklahoma, but have not yet been identified as those of Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, both of Hugoton, Kansas. Four people were taken to the Texas County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit murder on Saturday in connection with the deaths.
Tad Bert Cullum, 43; Tiffany Machel Adams (54); Cole Earl Twombly (50); and Cora Twombley (44) were arrested in Texas and neighboring Cimarron County. Adams was having a “troubled custody battle” with Butler, who had two children with the defendant's son, Wrangler Rickman, according to an affidavit by OSBI special agent Jason Ott. Rickman was “at a rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma City’ at the time of the disappearance, and does not appear to be a suspect, and is not believed to have been involved in the deaths of Butler and Kelley.
